LAHORE:Lahore Development Authority (LDA) teams conducted a mega operation against illegal constructions and commercial fee defaulters and demolished five illegal constructions at Canal Road and Izmir Town, while sealing a dozen properties.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Chief Town Planner II Azhar Ali. In Sultan Town, several under-construction properties along with five shops were demolished. The office of a bus company on Canal Road was sealed for non-payment of commercial fees. Over non-payment of commercial fee, automotive association office was also sealed.
Private banks, workshop, software house, private bakery, pet shop and a plaza located at Canal Road whereas two plazas were sealed in Izmir Town. Notices were issued to these properties several times before the operation.
Later, Town Planning teams sealed 36 properties in Abdalyan Society, GCP Society, PCSIR, Iqbal Avenue and PIA schemes by taking action against illegal commercial activities/commercial fee defaulters. LDA teams sealed plot numbers 402, 412, 414, 415, 418, 419, 420 and 422 in J3 Block during the operation.
