LAHOREPunjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman has approved summaries of various universities regarding appointments, nominations, and additional charge on various administrative posts as chancellor.
The governor emphasised that permanent appointments on the statutory posts of Registrar, Controller of Examinations, and treasurer should be ensured during the period of additional charge.
According to the details, governor has nominated Prof Dr Nasir Hayat, Department of Mechanical Engineering UET, as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University of Engineering and Technology for a period of three years or till his retirement, whichever is earlier.Balighur Rehman has nominated Prof Dr Rubina Kamal, Principal Government Graduate College for Women, Marghzar Colony, Lahore, as syndicate member of the University of Punjab for a period of three years or till the completion of her term as Principal, whichever is earlier. Governor entrusted the additional charge of the post of Registrar, University of Health Sciences Lahore to Prof Dr Sara, Head, Department of Oral Biology, UHS, nominated Prof Dr Javed Akhtar, VC, Sahiwal University as a member of the Syndicate of Govt College Women University, Faisalabad.
He approved the appointment of Dr M Asif Raza as Dean Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, M Nawaz Sharif Agriculture University, Multan for a period of three years. Apart from this, he assigned the addl charge of the post of Controller of Exams of Baba Guru Nanak University, Nankana Sahib to M Ashraf, Controller of Exams, UET Lahore.
He nominated Dr Anila Kamal, VC Rawalpindi Women's University, as a member of the Board of Governors of Namal University Mianwali, for a period of three years. Governor nominated Dr Javed Akhtar, VC of Sahiwal University as the Board of Governors of Minhaj University Lahore for a period of three years.
Governor, as chancellor, assigned the additional charge of the post of Treasurer to M Farooq Azam, Addl Treasurer, Narowal University for a period of six months, while addl charge of the post Treasurer of Mianwali University, has been assigned to Muttee-ur-Rehman, AP, Dept of Business Administration, University of Mianwali, for a period of six months or till the appointment of a regular incumbent on this post.
He assigned the additional charge of the post of Controller of Exams, University of Mianwali, to Dr Zafar Iqbal, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics, Mianwali University for a period of six months or till the arrival of regular incumbent.
