Rind orders steps to ensure peaceful polls

Karachi police chief Khadim Hussain Rind on Thursday conducted a meeting to review the initiatives taken by his force for the upcoming general elections.
Officials said the meeting, chaired by Additional IG Karachi Rind at the Karachi Police Office, was attended by the DIGs of Admin Karachi, Establishment, CIA, traffic, three Karachi ranges and district police officers.
The meeting reviewed the resources required for the general elections, including manpower, budget and transportation, as well as various issues.
All zonal and district commanders should prepare a security plan for the general elections, directed the city police chief. He directed that the police should use all resources for the peaceful conduct of the elections.
