Minister inaugurates PSIC House building

LAHORE: Provincial Minister of Industries and Commerce SM Tanveer inaugurated the Punjab Small Industries Corporation (PSIC) House on Davis Road on Tuesday. He also reviewed progress of remaining work on this occasion. Secretary Industries and Commerce Ehsan Bhutta, MD PSIC, DG Industries and DG Food Authority along with the officers concerned were also present on this occasion.

Talking to the media, provincial minister said that the rest of the work of PSIC House will be completed in two months and this building will be functional again after a closure of three and a half years. 

He said that Punjab govt has set up a Business Facilitation Centre in provincial capital for the convenience of industrialists, which is receiving great feedback. Such business facilitation centres will be set up in six big cities, including Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Multan within one month, he informed. Foreign investors will get NOC within 10 days and local investors within 15 days at the Business Facilitation Centre and in this regard, the rules will also be changed. Secretary Industries and Commerce informed that the Business Facilitation Centre was completed in just one month instead of six months. With the completion of PSIC House building, lakhs of rupees will be saved in lieu of rent by shifting the govt offices here, he added.
