KP minister briefed on Info Dept monitoring system

PESHAWAR: Caretaker Minister for Technical Education Dr Aamer Abdullah on Monday lauded the role of the Information Department to inform the people about government’s initiatives.

An official handout said that he visited the Itlaa Cell of Information and Public Relations Department at the Civil Secretariat.

Director General Information and Public Relations Muhammad Imran, Director Information Liaquat Amin, and Deputy Director Communication Khan Sarwar and other officials were present.

Muhammad Imran briefed the minister on the electronic media monitoring system, press briefing and production studios in the Itlaa cell of the Information Department, and the process of sharing news on various media platforms.

The minister said that the Information Department played the role of a bridge in effective communication between the provincial government and the people.

He said that the department was fulfilling its responsibilities to raise public awareness through factual information about government initiatives and development agendas for the welfare of the people. The minister described the monitoring system and Itlaa Cell as important in conveying the government's point of view to the people and keeping the government informed about the feedback of the public.
