Child killed in Multan junk shop blast
MULTAN: A child was killed and four family members, including a woman, were injured in a blast in a junk shop on Sunday, police said.
Rescue 1122 district officer Dr Kalimullah said the blast had occurred in Tawakal Town on Kayapur Road, in which a child was killed and four people were injured.
Ahmed Ali Khokhar, 5, died instantly while Muhammad Ali Khokhar, 55, Muhammad Arif Khokhar and Mahnoor Khokhar, 16, were injured and shifted to the Nishtar Hospital.
According to the preliminary investigation by police, the child hit something while playing and an explosion occurred. The child’s father, Arif, who is a scrap dealer, was also seriously injured. The nature of the explosion was not immediately known. Police and the bomb disposal squad have started an investigation.
