Involved in acid attack: Pakistan arrests fugitive from UAE through Interpol
MULTAN: Interpol has arrested an accused from UAE in acid throwing cases and he was produced before the Special Anti-Terrorism Court on Saturday, court officials said.
The accused was arrested for killing a woman with an acid attack and injuring her son. The wanted accused in the case of killing Hafiza Bibi of Jalalpur Pirwala was arrested from abroad by Interpol.
The woman’s 6-year-old son Faisal was also hit by the attack. Jalalpur Pirwala Sadar police arrested the accused Arshad son of Bilal through Interpol. One and a half years ago, in 2022, the accused threw acid on Hafiza Bibi with his accomplices in Kotla Chakar Deh. She later succumbed to her injuries.
The accused was arrested after issuing a red notice and deporting him from Dubai with the help of an Interpol Red Warrant.
