Man abandons his one-year-old child

LAHORE:A man, frustrated over a domestic dispute with his wife, abandoned his one-year-old child in the area of Nishtar Colony.

According to the details, the suspect picked up his one-year-old child and left the little kid unattended near a motorcycle parked in distant corner.

A citizen on seeing the victim crying for help reported to Safe City Emergency 15 helpline. The Nishtar Colony police station immediately reached there and took the child into their custody. Announcements were also made in the mosques to find his parents.

Three dacoits arrested

Hanjarwal Police have arrested three members of a dacoit gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Qurban alias Bannu, Rizwan and Awais. Police also recovered two pistols and bullets, two tolas of gold, two motorbikes and cash from their custody. The suspects had been involved in many incidents of robbery, snatching and motorbike lifting.

In another such incident, an Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff Cantonment Division team arrested four members of vehicle theft/snatching gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Ali Asghar alias Saghir, Sumran, Sameer Shahzad and M Arshad. The squad also recovered 65 bikes, one rickshaw and Rs6.2 million cash from them.

Rickshaw driver involved in theft apprehended

Lohari Gate police apprehended a rickshaw driver involved in theft of belongings from an elderly citizen.

According to the details, a citizen hired an auto rickshaw from Shah Alam Market to load the purchased items. After traveling a short distance when the citizen stopped for additional shopping, the rickshaw driver took advantage of the situation and fled with the baggage. The Safe City team traced the rickshaw's route and successfully located the driver. Video footage and images of the rickshaw driver involved in the theft were handed over to the investigating officer. The spokesperson for the PSCA stated that Lohari Gate police took action based on the evidence provided by Safe City, leading to the arrest of the rickshaw driver.
