‘Food for everyone’ programme inaugurated

PESHAWAR: The “food for everyone” programme inaugurated at the Frontier Foundation in collaboration with the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal on Thursday.

A ceremony was held in connection with the inauguration of the “ food for everyone” programme where provincial caretaker minister Ahmad Rasool Bangash was the chief guest, said a press release.

PBM Khyber Pakhtun- khwa Director Lal Badshah, chairman Frontier Foundation Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem, Frontier Foundation Administrator Dr Fakhar Zaman, in-charge of Nissa Lions Club Sumaira Manzoor, Hayatabad Lions Club president Rabia Basri and others attended the event.

Caretaker minister Ahmad Rasool Bangash inaugurated the programme and distributed free food among the deserving people at the Frontier Foundation.Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that it was a good step to distribute free food among the poor in response to prevailing price-hikes and inflation. He said that the government would support the Frontier Foundation in its endeavours for the poor to help them and solve their issues.

PBM Director Lal Badshah, Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem, Rabia Basri and others also addressed the event and said that it was a good initiative to facilitate the poor in the prevailing unprecedented inflation and price-hike so they could get food for free.

It may be mentioned that Frontier Foundation and the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal had recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for providing free food to the deserving people, including labourers and the poor.
