Man dies in Jamrud accident

JAMRUD: A man died after being hit by a high-speed dumper in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber tribal district on Wednesday.Esar Khan was crossing the Pak-Afghan Highway in Sur Kamar area when he met with the accident.The police registered a first information report and started an investigation.

Meanwhile, the police foiled the smuggling of 1kg of crystal meth (ice) and arrested a motorcyclist.Adil, a resident of Regi area in Peshawar, was arrested by Jamrud police during a search in Wazir Dand area, after the recovery of the contraband.He was locked up in Jamrud and a case was registered against him. Two days ago, Jamrud police had arrested four smugglers and seized heroin and ice from their possession.
