PPP hopes general elections will not be postponed in presence of CJP Isa

ISLAMABAD: While reminding Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the February 8 elections in the country, PPP’s Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi expressed his confidence that the general elections on February 8 will not be postponed in the presence of Chief Justice Supreme Court Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

“The sun of February 8 will rise with the news of PPP victory and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will be the candidate for the prime minister as after the elections the PPP not only will complete the number game for forming the government with the allies but also form a coalition government with the allies in the next election,” said Faisal Karim Kundi while addressing a press conference along with Syed Sabbatul Haider Bukhari, Malaika Raza and PPP’s Media Coordinator Nazir Dhoki.

Kundi said the PPP did not believe in selection but on the election and t is better to sit in the opposition than to be selected and become a “Ladla (favourite)”. “The party workers and leaders are ready for whatever task the party gives them as we say that every party should campaign with its own manifesto and then let the people decide whom to vote for,” he said.

The PPP information secretary said the PML-N has always dragged institutions into politics, now they are trying hard to become once again “Ladla (Favourite)” He said the Quaid of the PML-N Muhammad Nawaz Sharif left the slogan of “Respect the vote and narrative “Mujh Kyon Nikala (Why was I ousted” at Avenfield House in London and returned.

While announcing the proposed schedule of electoral visit of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Faisal Karim Kundi said the PPP is going to celebrate its 56th foundation day in Quetta on November 30 where Bilawal and former president and President PPP Parliamentarians Asif Ali Zardari will address the party workers. “The plan of action regarding the election in Quetta will also be announced.

He said along with Bilawal, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari will also be part of the PPP’s campaign in the elections. “The party is already active on social media and candidates and workers will deliver the party manifesto from door to door,” he said.

Kundi said Zardari initiated the rights of Balochistan and development started in Balochistan by giving the due rights to the people of Balochistan. “Zardari founded CPEC and the CPEC has a very important role in Balochistan,” he said.

The PPP secretary information said that Bilawal addressed six party workers conventions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and will start his electoral visit to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from December 7 and after it, he will start his election campaign in Punjab.

In a reply to a question, Faisal Karim Kundi said a meeting of the political and electoral committees formed by Asif Ali Zardari to communicate with the political parties of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held in which ToRs of the committee have been prepared and sent to the leadership for approval.

He said the PPP will fight elections on its manifesto and ideology and the seat adjustments may be discussed with the other political parties in some of the constituencies.
