President gets secretary of his choice
President Arif Alvi selected Muhammad Shakeel Malik after an interview
ISLAMABAD: Appointments and transfers have been made in the federal bureaucracy.
Secretariat Group Grade 22 officer and Parliamentary Affairs Division Secretary Muhammad Shakeel Malik has been transferred. He has been appointed the Secretary to the President of Pakistan.
The appointment is effective immediately and until further notice. The President selected him after an interview. The post of Secretary to the President was vacated by Waqar Ahmad and Additional Secretary Iram Bukhari had the additional charge. Meanwhile, Abid Saeed, an officer of the Secretariat Group Grade 19 posted in the Federal Employees Benevolent and Group Insurance Fund, has been transferred and appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of maritime affairs.
Grade 18 Deputy Chief Administration Officer, Budget Directorate, Khalid Zia, posted in GHQ under Defence Division, has been transferred and posted as Section Officer Finance Division. The Establishment Division has issued an official notification.
