Seat adjustment in polls: PPP dialogue body to contact important political personalities

ISLAMABAD: The political and electoral dialogue committee of the Pakistan People’s party has decided to make contacts with all the political figures of the national and provincial levels and assigned important tasks to the committee members to schedule meetings with national and provincial personalities for possibilities of electoral seat adjustment.

The meeting of the dialogue committee of the PPP was held with the chair of Secretary General PPP Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari here on Monday that was attended by PPP President Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Muhammad Bacha and PPP Information Secretary Faisal Karim Kundi, while Qamar Zama Kaira and Sajid Turi participated through video link.

In the first meeting of the Committee for Punjab and KP, the overall political situation of the country and the upcoming elections were discussed in detail. Through mutual consultation, it was decided to hold separate meetings of the negotiation committees of the four provinces.

Former president and President Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) Asif Ali Zardari formed the committees to make the political contact and political dialogue with the political parties and personalities for the upcoming general elections.

The committee for Punjab and KP comprised of Secretary General PPP Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Secretary Information PPP Faisal Karim Kundi, Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha and Sajid Turi. The committee members for Sindh comprised of Saeed Ghani and Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and from Balochistan Chengez Khan Jamali, Rozi Khan Kakar and Sabir Ali Baloch.
