Ministerial panel to review ban on import, export of various items

ISLAMABAD: The caretaker federal cabinet Tuesday constituted a three-member ministerial committee to review the ban on the export and import of various items.

The committee, headed by Minister for Trade Ejaz Gohar, comprises Minister for Law Irfan Aslam and Minister for Planning Sami Saeed as members. The committee has been mandated to review the cases of prohibited items and suggest lifting ban on their export and import. It will also look into lifting one-time ban on import of different items.

The committee would also review such cases as per Import and Export Policy Orders 2022 and hear appeals according to Section 21 of Committee Trade Organizations Act, 2013.
