Governor inaugurates UVAS symposium on milking animals’ health
LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore exhibited a stall & symposium on Bovine Udder Health held at Dairy Asia Expo Lahore.
Chancellor/Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman inaugurated the UVAS stall while UVAS Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad, Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Bahawalpur Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Sajjad Khan, Chinese delegation, faculty members, dairy professionals/ stakeholder and students were present.
The UVAS stall featured various dairy products such as flavoured milk, cheese and butter etc as well as vaccines for dairy animals.
Meanwhile, UVAS Department of Veterinary Medicine in collaboration with Dairy Asia Expo-2023 arranged ‘4th Bovine Udder Health Symposium’ with the theme of ‘Moo-ve Towards Udder Health Excellence’ at Expo Centre. Prof Dr Nasim Ahmed presided over the inaugural session of the symposium while Emeritus Prof Dr Masood Rabbani and a number of academicians, practicing vets, researchers, dairy farm managers, farmers, professionals, faculty members and students were present.
While addressing the inaugural session of symposium, Prof Dr Nasim Ahmed said recommendations from experts would be very effective to curb mastitis issues for the profitability of the livestock farming community.
