BS-22 official likely to replace information secretary

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to transfer Federal Secretary Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Zahoor Ahmed from his post, it is learnt.

According to sources, Secretariat Group BS-21 officer and Additional Secretary in charge of Ministry of Information Zahoor Ahmed will be removed from the post and directed to report to the Establishment Division.

It has been decided to appoint Information Group Grade 22 OSD Shaheera Shahid as Secretary of the Ministry of Information in his place. Shaheera Shahid has also served as Information Secretary before.

According to sources, secretary Establishment Division has sent a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the exchange of information. According to sources in the Establishment Division, after the approval of ECP, the Establishment Division will issue the notification of these appointments and transfers after taking formal approval from the Prime Minister’s Office.
