Two suspects escape from police lockup in Orangi Town

Two suspects, Abdul Basit and Jumma Khan, facing narcotics charges, escaped from the Iqbal Market Police Station lockup in Tuesday.

The escape resulted from negligence, leading to the suspension of three police officers, including the duty officer. Cases were set to be registered against the suspended officers and personnel.

According to police, the escape occurred when the suspects requested water in the morning. Seizing the opportunity, they managed to flee when the cop opened the lockup to provide water. Further investigations into the incident are currently underway.
