RAWALPINDI: Funeral prayers for Gen (R) Sawar Khan, former vice chief of army staff, were offered at the Army Graveyard here on Wednesday. Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir and a large number of civil and military officials attended the funeral. Sawar, 99, was first vice chief of army staff during the era of General Ziaul Haq. He also remained Punjab governor.
