Teenagers among seven shot and injured
Seven people, including three teenagers, were wounded in different incidents of firing in Karachi on Sunday.
According to details, 22-year-old Sultan Khan was shot injured for resisting a mugging attempt in the Aleemabad area of Malir. Police said that following the incident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot and managed to catch one suspect who was then beaten to pulp by the public. After getting information, police arrived on the scene and took the suspect in custody.
Separately, 28-year-old Iqbal and 17-year-old Shahzaib were wounded in different firing incidents in the Kala Pul area. Police said the motives behind the firings were not immediately confirmed and investigations were under way.
In Shah Latif Town, 35-year-old Abbas Haroon was injured after being shot by unidentified suspects. Police said the initial investigation suggested that the incident took place over personal enmity.
In two other incidents, 44-year-old Azizullah and 15-year-old Nasima were wounded after being hit by stray bullets in the SITE and Jamali Pul areas respectively, police said. Meanwhile, 17-year-old Zeeshan was shot and injured during a fight in Hijrat Colony.
