‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival kabaddi tomorrow

LAHORE:The members of national kabaddi team will participate in ‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival grand kabaddi event scheduled to be staged at Punjab Stadium on Sunday (tomorrow).

Secretary Youth Affairs Punjab Shahid Zaman, DG Punjab Dr Asif Tufail, several top sports stars and a large number of kabaddi enthusiasts will be present on this occasion.

It is worth mentioning that sports events of ‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival are being organised on the directions of Punjab CM Mohsin Naqvi. All leading kabaddi players including captain of national kabaddi team Irfan Mana and veteran star Musharraf Janjua will take part in ‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival kabaddi competition.

After the kabaddi event, the exciting taekwondo competitions will be conducted at NPSC Gymnasium Hall on Nov 7 and the ‘Lahore Lahore Aye Festival’ sports events will culminate with another mega event of Rustam-e-Punjab Dangal on Nov 12.

It may be noted here that thrilling events of ‘Lahore Lahore Aye’ Festival such as male, female Mini Marathon, Road Cycling, male, female hockey and wushu have already been organised during the last one week. These events provided a great amount of entertainment and inspiration to the younger generation of Punjab province.

Jamia mosque inaugurated

Secretary Youth Affairs Punjab Shahid Zaman and DG Sports Punjab Dr Asif Tufail inaugurated a beautiful Jamia Mosque in the lawns of National Hockey Stadium on Friday.

Director Admin Ijaz Munir, Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza, DSO Lahore Rana Nadeem Anjum, Vice-President Pakistan Wrestling Federation Arshad Sattar were also present on this occasion.

A large number of worshippers on this occasion prayed for the prosperity, development and integrity of the country. Sweets were also distributed at the inaugural ceremony of the mosque which had a capacity of over 400 worshippers.
