Progress made in LDA record sifting process reviewed
LAHORE: A meeting was held regarding sifting of LDA records under the chairmanship of Commissioner and LDA DG Muhammad Ali Randhawa.
In the meeting, the progress made in the LDA record sifting process was reviewed. Additional DG Housing Awais Mushtaq and Director IT Abdul Basit gave a briefing about the progress. Commissioner and DG LDA directed that the process of sifting of all the remaining societies of LDA should be started simultaneously and the work should be done in two shifts.
He directed providing additional human resource and technical support. He reviewed the deadlines given to all the directors as per the timeline. Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that the sifting of records of all societies should be completed as per the timeline by deploying additional resources.
The commissioner visited the IT section and reviewed the record sifting process. He reviewed the entire process of sifting records in detail. The commissioner was briefed on all processes of scanning files, sifting and digitisation of records. Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed that no delay will be tolerated in the completion of digitisation and sifting of the records.
Several illegal constructions razed
On the direction of Commissioner Lahore & LDA DG Muhammad Ali Randhawa, LDA teams conducted operation and demolished several illegal constructions/commercial properties in Wapda Town, Johar Town and adjoining areas.
The operation was conducted by Director Town Planning Zone IV under the supervision of Chief Town Planner II Azhar Ali. LDA team demolished the lift box of Plot No. 72D in Wapda Town, Plot No. 6 E was demolished due to violation of the approved plan. Besides, Plot No 5,13 and 23 D Gulshan Mustafa sealed for making illegal additions/alterations in the approved plan, sealed the illegal commercial shops on Plot No 141 Gul Daman. In Johar Town, showrooms constructed on Plot No 13A, 15A, 20A, 21A and 23A were sealed. Offices established at Plot No 17 and 18 A Johar Town were sealed. Car showrooms situated at 23E, 32E, 38E, 41E, 55E, 60E, and 61E in Johar Town were sealed. Notices were issued several times before the operation to the properties.
