Wapda workers hold Palestine solidarity rally
LAHORE: Wapda and electricity workers held a protest rally on Thursday under the auspices of All Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Workers Union CBA to condemn atrocities of Israel against Palestine and demanded the justice loving nations and the UN General Assembly prevent killings of citizens of Gaza.
Hundreds of workers came together to express solidarity with the Palestinians and chanted slogans against Israel’s oppression and attack upon innocent people which killed more than 8,000 citizens of Gaza.
They demanded boycott of Israel and called upon all the countries to fully support the struggling people of Palestine. The participants were carrying banners. The protest was addressed by Khurshid Ahmad, General Secretary of the union, along with other representatives of the workers.
