Govt to arrest and deport illegal aliens
The district administration, police, prosecution and prison administration have also been given special authority
ISLAMABAD: It has been decided to arrest, detain and deport Afghan citizens under the Foreign Act from November 1, Geo reported. Sources said that the federal government has approved the implementation of Section 3 of the Foreign Act 1946 and the Ministry of Home Affairs obtained this approval through a summary circulation from the federal cabinet. Sources say that it has been decided not to deport Afghan citizens undertrial and convicted of serious crimes, however Afghan citizens undertrial and convicted of minor crimes will be deported. The district administration, police, prosecution and prison administration have also been given special authority. From November 1, the relevant authorities will be authorized to arrest and deport illegal Afghan citizens. Afghans arrested from Punjab will be shifted to a center in Rawalpindi for deportation, while illegal Afghans arrested from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be transferred to Nowshera and Chamkani centers, while Afghans arrested from Balochistan will be shifted to Quetta, Pashin and Qila Abdullah centers.
