Man shot dead
LAHORE:A 37-year-old man was shot dead by the unidentified suspects in Sabzazar. The victim was present at Dabanpura area when the unidentified suspected motorcyclists intercepted and opened fire at him. He received bullet injuries and died. The victim was identified as Waseem Abbass. His body was moved to morgue.
11 arrested for stunting on cars
Defence C police arrested around 11 racers. The arrested suspects included Anas, Jibrail, Talha, Zohaib, Usman etc. The suspects would engage in car racing and make videos to viral in their Whatsapp groups. They would also put their lives at stake and engaged in dangerous stunts on roads of the posh areas. A case was registered against them.
Eight die in road accidents in 24 hours
Around eight people died, whereas 1,306 were injured in 1,213 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Out of these, 647 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals.
Hit to death
A 40-year-old metro employee died in road accident in Nishter Colony. The victim identified as Naveed Maseeh worked on metro bus. On the day of the incident, he was returning from his work when a speeding car hit him. He received serious injuries and died. His body was moved to morgue.
Two suspects arrested
Akbari Gate police arrested two suspected members of a snatchers gang. The arrested suspects were identified as Imran and Faizan. Police also recovered two bikes, two pistols and mobile phones form their custody. In another incident, New Anarkali and Ravi Road police arrested two proclaimed offenders. The arrested suspects were identified as Ayub Raza and Amir. They were involved in bogus cheque and theft cases.
