Alamgirian Queen, JK cause major upsets

LAHORE: Alamgirian Queen and JK, to the surprise of all, claimed thumping victories in the Zaheeruddin Babar Cup and Toru Cup, respectively, at the Lahore Race Club on Sunday.

The day’s first upset came with Blue Boy, with surprises also at second place (Merchant Of Venus) and third position (Silent Melody). Absolutely Not caused the second major upset by winning the second race.

Lady Champion, out of nowhere, claimed victory in the third race. In one of the main races, Alamgirian Queen’s wide gallop proved too much for the others in the Zaheerddinn Babar Cup.

JK roared to an astonishing win in the Toru Khan Cup. Market Leader jumped to victory in the final race. Favourite Red Rock settled for second place, while Western Lady secured the third position.
