Rain affects QA Trophy matches

LAHORE: Heavy rain badly affected the opening day of the seventh and final round of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on Monday. In all four games, the first day’s play could not be played except for a few overs in matches at Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan.
The Karachi Whites and Lahore Blues game at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore saw the home team winning the toss and electing to field. Karachi Whites scored 21 runs in 9 overs and lost 5 wickets. Asad Shafiq scored 13 runs. Saeem Ayub, Umeer bin Yousaf and Imad Alam got out without scoring any runs. Ali Shafiq took three wickets.
