KARACHI: Make-A-Wish Foundation Pakistan granted a unique wish of 17 years old Make-A-Wish child Cookie Lewis from Dar-ul-Sukun who wished to be a Teacher for a day.
A ceremony was held at the office of Senior Minister Education Nisar Khoro who presented an appointment letter to Cookie Lewis to be a Teacher for a day.
Thereafter Cookie resumed her duty as a Teacher at the Government Girls Secondary School Clifton, says a press release.
The principal and school staff warmly welcomed Cookie Lewis by presenting her bouquets. Cookie conducted the assembly and one minute silence was observed by all the students and teachers to pay homage to the martyred children of Army Public School Peshawar on their Chehlum. National anthem and special song of martyred children were also played on the occasion.
Cookie spent her day by conducting classes at the school and interacted with the students. She thoroughly enjoyed her experience of being a teacher.
The school Principal Najma Mangi presented Cookie certificate of appreciation and one day salary for being a good teacher.
Founding President Make-A-Wish Foundation Pakistan, Sr Ruth Lewis of Dar-ul-Sukun and Director Education Abdul Wahab Abbassi were also present at the occasion.
