Work on kidney transplant centre in Nawabshah underway
NAWABSHAH: For kidney transplant and treatment of cancer and other diseases at the Benazir Institute of Kidney Transplantation and Urology is under construction in full swing.
Project in-charge and Prof Urology Ward Dr Muhammad Ali Suhail said that the institute would have capacity a capacity of 300 beds and kidney patients would get free facilities of treatment. He said that the hospital would provide facilities of Kidney transplant, dialysis, treatment of cancer and other diseases.
He said that child kidney patients and cancer patients would have separate wards. Dr Muhammad Ali Suhail said that this institute was near completion with consultation of Director SUIT Karachi Prof Adeebul Hassan Rizvi and it would start functioning by December 2016. He said technical staff for this institute is getting training at SUIT, Karachi.
He said that Gynea Urology Ward for pregnant women having problem with kidneys was also under construction at the institute. He said that this institute was a gift for kidney patients and would have approach for patients from interior Sindh apart from patients from South Punjab and Baluchistan with full-fledged treatment facilities.
