KARACHI: Irfan Ali hit a fine brace to enable Pakistan Air Force (PAF) to win bronze medal when they defeated Army 2-0 in the third-place play-off of the PFF Cup 2016 at Punjab Stadium in Lahore on Sunday.
Irfan, who remained off-colour in the semi-final against KRL on Saturday, scored in the 42nd and the 66th minute.
Irfan’s first goal came through his fine dash on a cross from Amir Khan from the left cordon.
The second half strike was a solo effort.
Younis Lal supervised the match, while Waheed Murad and Shahid Hussain served as line judges. Abdul Shakoor Baloch was the match commissioner and Qazi Asif the referees’ assessor.
In the final on Monday (today), National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) will face holders KRL at the same venue.
