Peaceful PPP convention in AJK turned into battleground: Shah
KARACHI: Opposition leader in the National Assembly, Syed Khursheed Shah on Sunday regretted that a Pakistan People’s Party’s peaceful convention in Azad Kashmir was turned into a battle ground.
Talking to media persons after condoling the demise of Fatima Surayya Bajia with her family, Khursheed Shah said: “Instead of sympathizing with us, Pervez Rasheed used inappropriate words for Prime Minister Azad Kashmir.”
He said an innocent worker of PPP was martyred in Kotli and asked the Information Minister Pervez Rasheed to tell him as to what the PM AJK had said which could have offended his party.
“Our leaders should desist from indulging in such politics on Kashmir,” Khursheed Shah said, adding, it is due to this attitude that the incumbent government had to face difficulties in the very first year of assuming power.
He said the present rulers are engaging in politics of 80s.
