QUETTA: An assistant professor of the Balochistan University was injured by armed assailants in the Alam Chowk area of Quetta on Thursday.
According to the police, unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate fire on Prof Yawar Din while he was heading towards the university. Prof Din sustained a bullet wound in the lower parts of his body. The assailants fled the scene.
The injured was shifted to CMH Hospital Quetta for treatment.
Police have registered a case and started investigation.
