Pilot, trainee die as army aviation jet crashes near Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: An instructor pilot and trainee lost their lives when an army aviation’s jet crashed near Gujranwala on Tuesday.
According to sources, instructor pilot, Maj Azhar and a trainee Captain Hassan Ahmed lost their lives when a Mashaq aircraft, which is used for training purposes, crashed near Gujranwala.
Sources said, the tragic incident took place days before the wedding of Maj Azhar. He was set to tie the knot on February 21 and the invitation cards for the event had been distributed already.
