KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Monday expressed his displeasure over placement of former provincial minister Sharjeel Inam Memon’s name in the Exit Control List (ECL).
“The centre should stop the NAB which is harassing Sharjeel Memon,” Qaim Ali Shah said in a statement issued here at CM House.
The CM said Sharjeel Memon is still an active member of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) who had resigned as minister for personal reasons. These days Sharjeel Memon is abroad on leave, he added.
“Putting his (Sharjeel Memon’s) name in the ECL reflects vengeful and malicious intent,” Qaim Ali Shah maintained.
He urged the Federation to rein in on National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from taking targeting officials of Sindh government and PPP leaders.
He demanded that Sharjeel Memon’s name be struck out from ECL.
