KARACHI: Sohail Baloch, Chairman Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) on Monday, said his body is ready to engage in talks with the government or any of its representative chosen by the Prime Minister to discuss issues relating to PIA’s proposed privatization.
Addressing a press conference here, Sohail Baloch said the JAC recommends Federal Minister for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar or Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif to represent the government’s side.
He requested the Prime Minister to send someone trustworthy for holding talks with the JAC. “We don’t want to black mail the government. Our differences with the government only relate to PIA’s privatization,” he clarified.
Sohail Baloch said the ‘abducted’ PIA employees were released Monday morning here at Nagan Chowrangi.
“Our doors are open and we are trying our best to pull the nation out of the present crisis,” he said, adding, the protesters are aware of the hardships being faced by the passengers of PIA.
