Funeral prayers offered for MQM worker Sohail Ahmed
KARACHI: The funeral prayers for Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) worker Sohail Ahmed were offered in the Tariq Road area here on Thursday.
MQM leaders attended Ahmed’s funeral and he will be laid to rest at the Society graveyard.
A Sindh wide day of mourning had been called along with a peaceful strike by the MQM against the killing

KARACHI: The funeral prayers for Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) worker Sohail Ahmed were offered in the Tariq Road area here on Thursday.
MQM leaders attended Ahmed’s funeral and he will be laid to rest at the Society graveyard.
A Sindh wide day of mourning had been called along with a peaceful strike by the MQM against the killing of Sohail Ahmed who was unit incharge for the Society area. His body was recovered from the Maripur area of Karachi on Wednesday.
Businesses and schools remained closed in several cities of the province including Karachi, Sukkur and Hyderabad while MQM chief Altaf Hussain has appealed that businesses should open at 4 PM.
In an earlier statement Altaf Hussain had placed the responsibility of the extra-judicial killing of 36 MQM workers on Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah.
