KARACHI: An Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has apprehended an official of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on charges of issuing a fake ID card, said an FIA official.
Additional Director FIA says, Abid Sarfaraz working for NADRA as D.O., was arrested on charges of issuing an ID card to an Afghan national named Khaista Gul.
Later, using his Pakistan ID card, Khaista Gul also got himself issued a Pakistani passport, the FIA official said.
He said it is being investigated as to how much money Abid Sarfaraz received for issuing the fake ID card to the Afghan national.
