CHARSADDA: Bacha Khan University, Charsadda was reopened today and then closed for an indefinite period, the university spokesman announced here on Monday.
The spokesman said the university cited weather condition, repair and cleanliness works as reasons for the closure of Bacha Khan University which came under deadly attack by armed militants a few days back.
At least 21 people, mostly students, had lost their lives in the attack while dozens others had sustained injuries.
The decision to keep the university shut for an indefinite period was taken at a meeting of faculty members presided over by the University’s vice chancellor.
During the meeting it was proposed that the university teachers be laced with licensed weapons while a police check post be set up inside the university.
Earlier, the Bacha Khan University was reopened on Monday, four days after the terrorist attack.
