KARACHI: The name of Kashif Khan Kamran, a prime suspect in Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Imran Farooq murder, had first appeared a police investigation report on Dawood Engineering College murder in 2005.
According to the report aired in Geo News program ‘Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath’, Kashif Khan Kamran was a student of Dawood Engineering College in 2005 and an active member of MQM's student wing, All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organization (APMSO).
The report said the slain principle of Dawood Engineering College, Saleem Chaudhry, and Kashif Khan Kamran had exchanged harsh words on March 25 and on the same day the former had been killed by three suspects.
"Saleem Chaudhry had denied permission to Kashif Khan Kamran for preparing Haleem in the university premises which led to the exchange harsh words between the two", the report said.
Kashif Khan Kamran and four other workers of MQM's student wing had disappeared after the murder of Dawood Engineering College principal.
The murder case was registered in Jamshaid Quarters police station.
It may be noted here that another suspect in Dr Imran Farooq murder, Mohsin Ali Syed, in his confessional statement had said that it was Kashif Khan Kamran who inflicted stab and brick wounds on slain MQM leader.
