Polling underway for by-election in NA-218 Matiari
In the constituency, 263 polling stations have been established of which 60 polling stations have been declared highly sensitive and one hundred polling stations are sensitive.
MATIARI: Polling for the by-election in NA-218 Matiari constituency is underway today (Monday).
The polling began at 8:00 AM and will continue till 5:00 PM without any interval.
The seat fell vacant due to the demise of PPP Parliamentarian leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim.
In the constituency, 263 polling stations have been established of which 60 polling stations have been declared highly sensitive and one hundred polling stations are sensitive.
Six candidates are contesting for the seat.
The registered male voters in the constituency are 160,496 and female 142,248.
Strict security measures have been adopted for the smooth poling. Around 2,400 security personnel have been deployed to ensure holding of free and fair elections.
