Police official arrested for taking ransom in Karachi
LEA personnel on a tip-off, arrested ASI Muhammad Akram red-handed while taking ransom from a citizen for releasing a kidnapped man.

KARACHI: The personnel of Law Enforcement Agency (LEA) have apprehended an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Karachi police for taking ransom from a citizen in Ghareebabad.
LEA personnel on a tip-off, arrested ASI Muhammad Akram red-handed while taking ransom from a citizen for releasing a kidnapped man.
ASI Muhammad Akram was deployed at the Pakistan Bazaar Police Station in Orangi Town.
Seven illegally detained citizens were also recovered on the information of the accused, who used official vehicle to reach the place for taking ransom.
Official weapon and bullet proof jacket were also seized from the ASI’s custody.
