DUBAI: The investigation team tasked to dig into the Baldia factory fire has completed recording of statements in Dubai of the owners of the garment factory, the Bhaila brothers.
Sources on Thursday said that the investigation team completed the probe in Dubai with the assurance that the owners’ statements will be kept confidential
According to sources, their statements were recorded both on camera as well as paper, leading to 67 pages.
Sources added that the brothers will head back to London from Dubai tonight.
More than 250 people, most of them employees, had been burned to death in 2012, as they found themselves trapped inside the factory with no emergency exit open for them to escape.
The incident was the worst case of fire in Pakistan’s history in view of the death toll.
