Policemen martyred by gunmen in Karachi

KARACHI: Two policemen embraced martyrdom when motorcycle-riding assailants opened fire upon them in Bahadurabad, Karachi on Thursday.

SSP East Javed Jiskani told Geo.tv that Head Constable Abdul Ghaffar and PC Pervez Ahmed of New Town police station were deployed on security duty at a nearby hospital. He said it will need to be investigated why the policemen left the hospital and came to Bahadurabad where they were gunned down by assailants on two motorcycles.

Both policemen were shifted to the hospital but succumbed to their injuries.

It was earlier reported police sources, that the policemen were deployed on picket duty and were shot during snap-checking.
