LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hamza Shahbaz on Monday said the politics based on false allegations and lies will face defeat on October 11, the scheduled date for NA-122 and PP-147 by-elections.
“October 11 will be the day of success for Pakistan’s journey towards development and progress,” Hamza Shahbaz expressed these views while talking to media persons after his meetings with Ulema belonging to various schools of thought as well as leaders of different minority communities here.
He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan kept shredding to pieces the reputation of respectful people for 126 days during his party's anti-government sit-in protests in Islamabad.
"But, actually Imran Khan himself is surrounded by land grabbers and those who got their loans waived," he added.
On the occasion, Federal Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique said Imran Khan has been playing an active part in a 'conspiracy to pressurise institutions and courts through sit-ins and politics of agitation'.
The Ulema (clerics) announced their support to PML-N for the upcoming by-elections in NA-122 and PP-147.
The Justice Party also expressed its unconditional support to the ruling party.
