RAWALPINDI: An anti-terrorism court of Rawalpindi Monday sentenced former leader of a banned outfit to six months in jail over hate speech.
ATC Judge Asif Majeed Awan sentenced Mufti Tanveer Alam Farooqi in jail for six months and fined him Rs50,000.
The accused was nabbed from Taxila after hate speech case was lodged in Counter Terrorism Department on May 11. Later, he was released on bail.
Following the verdict, Mufti Tanveer was arrested from the court room and sent to jail.
