ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has withdrawn its originally announced schedule for Local Government (LG) polls in Islamabad and said that a fresh schedule would be announced on October 19.

The ECP spokesperson said on Tuesday that polling for LG elections in the capital territory will be held on November 30.
He further said that ban on appointment and transfer of officers has been lifted till announcement of new schedule, while development schemes in Islamabad can also continue.
He added that electoral lists have also been unfrozen for corrections and inclusion of new voters.
