ISLAMABAD: Describing National Action Plan (NAP) as an ‘agenda for security and peace’, Federal Minister for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday advised against doing politics on NAP.
Briefing the upper house on NAP, the Interior Minister termed the plan’s progress on 15 points as satisfactory. He said 10 out of 20 points under the NAP are the responsibility of the provinces.
He said he could pose a number of questions in connection with Maulana Abdul Aziz of Lal-Masjid, Islaambad. He said the real question, however, is why the Maulana was brought back to the federal capital.
Chaudhry Nisar said if anyone can produce evidence against Maulana Abdul Aziz, then action will definitely be taken against him. “This issue must not be turned into a political one,” he added.
