SARGODHA: Thirty cloth shops and 80 stalls were gutted as a result of fire the engulfed the ‘Kapra (cloth) market’ here on Tuesday night.
The fire suddenly erupted in one of the stalls and within no time engulfed a number of shops and stalls.
The incident occurred when shoppers, mostly women, were busy in their shopping activities. However, no casualties have been reported in the incident in which cloth worth millions of rupees turned to ashes.
Several fire tenders were taking part in the fire extinguishing activities till last reports came in.
