Police arrest 4 suspects in Aftab Alam murder case
KARACHI: The Sindh Police have rounded up four suspects for their alleged involvement in the assassination of senior journalist Aftab Alam.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, SSP Amir Farooqui said those arrested have been identified as Zeeshan Haider Zaidi, Suleman, Shah Ji and Adeel and that they are affiliated with a banned outfit named Sipah Mohammad's Manzar Imam group.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, SSP Amir Farooqui said those arrested have been identified as Zeeshan Haider Zaidi, Suleman, Shah Ji and Adeel and that they are affiliated with a banned outfit named Sipah Mohammad's Manzar Imam group.
He said the suspects had also planned to murder an owner of a Biryani shop in Surjani Town.
He further disclosed that the arrested men had been receiving overseas funding.
The SSP said that Zeeshan Haider Zaidi used to work for the Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KWSB).
Senior journalist Aftab Alam was killed earlier in the month when gunmen fired shots at his vehicle in North Karachi area.
Alam was targeted outside his residence in 11-C area of North Karachi – when he was leaving to pickup his children from school.
