QUETTA: The safe city project is facing an inordinate delay and is still incomplete even three years after its announcement by the Balochistan government with an aim to curb terrorism and target killings in Quetta.
The Balochistan government had chalked out a plan to establish the safe city project in 2013 with an aim to rein in the rising tide of terror-related incidents and target killings.
The plan was to install close circuit cameras and scanners across the city besides putting the bomb disposal squad on modern lines.
However, even after a lapse of almost three years the project could not become a reality. And it is still unclear as to how much more time the completion of the project will take.
