WASHINGTON: Condemning the terrorist attack on Pakistan Air Force base in Badaber, the United States says it stands by the people of Pakistan which has suffered at the hands of terrorists and extremists more than any other country.
White House spokesman Mark Toner said the condemnable and horrific attack was apparently aimed at worshipers especially the families of Pakistan Army officials.
“We strongly condemn this attack and express profound grief with families and relatives of the dead and injured,” said Toner.
He said Washington backs Islamabad’s ongoing efforts against extremists, however, the attack couldn’t be declared as a backlash to those efforts.
Toner said US expresses solidarity with people of Pakistan and all those fighting against terrorism.
